Ed Bice

CEO at Meedan

Edward Bice is the CEO of Meedan, a social media translation company. Ed has also served as a Scholar in Residence at American University in Cairo, where they led a graduate-level workshop on social media translation and delivered two public lectures on social media translation and the history of translation technology. Prior to that, they were an Invited Member of Partners for a New Beginning, a non-partisan, non-profit organization established to harness private sector and civil society resources to advance the vision President Obama laid out in their Cairo speech in June 2009 of renewed engagement with Muslims around the world based on mutual respect and responsibility. Ed also served as the Co-chair of the United States Palestinian Partnership from September 2009 to December 2011. In addition, they were a participant in Open Translation Tools Amsterdam 2009 from January 2009 to December 2009. Edward Bice is also the Founding Executive Director of The People's Opinion Project, which they founded in May 2003 and ran until December 2005. Lastly, they were the Founder and Board Chair of Community School of Teton Valley from January 1993 to December 1995.

Ed Bice's educational career consists of a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Carleton College and Wayzata High School.
