Jon Corshen

Board Member at Meedan

Jon Corshen is a board member at Meedan. Jon was previously a scholar in residence at American University in Cairo, where they led a graduate level workshop on Social Media Translation and delivered two public lectures on social media translation and the history of translation technology. Jon was also an invited member of Partners for a New Beginning from September 2010 to December 2011, and served as co-chair of the United States Palestinian Partnership from September 2009 to December 2011. In addition, Corshen has been a participant in Open Translation Tools Amsterdam 2009 and the Founding Executive Director of The People's Opinion Project from May 2003 to December 2005. Jon is also the founder and board chair of Community School of Teton Valley, which they founded in January 1993.

Jon Corshen studied philosophy at Carleton College and Wayzata High School.
