Dan Pitt

Dan Pitt has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Dan has served as the President of Palo Alto Innovation Advisors, where they advised and served as an executive at startups globally. Dan has also worked as an Executive in Residence at the Plug and Play Tech Center, the world's most successful startup accelerator. Additionally, they have held the role of Senior VP at MEF Forum, where they facilitated the transformation of global services in the telecom industry. Dan Pitt has also been involved in various advisory and strategic roles, including positions at xBlock, X-Celeprint, Join Digital, and GigaIO. Dan has chaired the Selection Committee for the Anita Borg Technical Leadership Award and served as the Executive Director at the Open Networking Foundation. Prior to these roles, Dan Pitt was the Dean of Engineering at Santa Clara University, where they oversaw various departments and promoted research, sustainability, and entrepreneurship.

Dan Pitt attended Brookline High School in Brookline, Mass. for their secondary education. Dan then pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics (Magna Cum Laude) at Duke University. For their executive education, they attended the Stanford University Graduate School of Business, focusing on Managing Technology and Strategic Innovation. Additionally, they pursued executive education in Financial Management for Non-Financial Executives at the University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business. Dan furthered their education by obtaining a Master of Science degree in Computer Science and a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
