Derek Stith has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Derek started their career in 2002 as a Journeyman Ironworker at Ironworkers #44, where they worked until 2011. In 2011, they joined Gentile Transportation Services as an Operations Specialist and was responsible for managing various tasks such as routing multi-drop loads, equipment procurement, data-entry, resolving issues, and ensuring on-time delivery. In 2012, Derek joined MegaCorp Lines/Logistics as a National Account Manager. Derek'srole involved providing truckload, LTL, air, inter-modal, and multi-modal supply chain solutions to clients across the United States, Canada, and Mexico. Derek aimed to minimize clients' freight spend, enhance customer satisfaction, and focus on their core business.

Derek Stith pursued their education starting in 2002, when they enrolled in the Ironworker Apprenticeship Program at Owens Community College. Derek completed this program in 2006. In 2011, Derek attended Cincinnati State Technical and Community College, where they studied Business Management and Marketing Management. Derek obtained an Associate of Applied Business (AAB) degree from Cincinnati State Technical and Community College in 2013.
