Founded in 2010 by Orna and Isaac Levy, owners of the luxury jewelry brand Yvel, Megemeria provides professional training in jewelry design and production, facilitating the integration of Ethiopian olim into Israeli society.

The name "Megemeria," meaning "genesis" in Amharic, reflects the organization's mission to offer new beginnings. The program includes courses in Hebrew and mathematics, ensuring graduates are well-prepared for the workforce. Upon completion, students receive a certificate in goldsmithing accredited by Israel’s Ministry of Industry and Trade, enabling them to pursue careers as skilled artisans.
