Simon Malek

Simon Malek is a skilled Mechanical Engineer I at Meggitt since August 2021, specializing in the design of test stand fixtures and tooling, as well as generating technical drawings and 3D CAD models of electro-mechanical thermal components using Solidworks. Previously, Simon contributed as a Powertrain Design Engineer at UCI Anteater Racing from July 2020 to March 2023, where responsibilities included hydrodynamic analysis for engine cooling systems and designing drivetrain systems, along with hands-on assembly of complex mechanical systems and performance simulations. Additionally, Simon served as Project Engineer and Project Team Lead for a quadcopter project from September 2019 to March 2020, enhancing design capabilities and leading a team in the fabrication of the drone. Simon earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from UC Irvine, graduating in 2023.
