Mitchell McCarty

Mitchell McCarty is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in information technology and cybersecurity. Currently serving as the Business Information Security Partner at Meijer since October 2025, Mitchell drives alignment between cybersecurity initiatives and enterprise objectives by developing and executing an information security strategic roadmap. Previously, as Vice President of Information Technology at Waséyabek Development Company, LLC from July 2020 to October 2025, Mitchell led technology and cybersecurity efforts across a diverse portfolio, achieving significant project outcomes through lean and agile methodologies. Mitchell's military experience with the Michigan Army National Guard from April 2015 to August 2023 as an Information Systems Officer and various other roles showcases expertise in managing IT and communication systems, implementing information assurance strategies, and overseeing signal operations. Mitchell holds a Master of Science in Computer/Information Technology Administration and Management from Davenport University and a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Sociology from Michigan State University.
