Jianping Yu has extensive experience in software engineering, with a focus on advertising and machine learning systems. Jianping began a career at Tencent from July 2012 to July 2014 as a Software Engineer, contributing to the backend development of Tencent's Weibo advertising system, where Jianping was involved in the creation of various modules such as ad bidding, billing, and anti-cheating systems using technologies like C/C++, MySQL, and Linux. Jianping then worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Baidu, Inc. from July 2014 to November 2017, leading the development of offline machine learning features and contributing to the foundational platform for Baidu Youa. Currently, since November 2017, Jianping serves as a researcher at Meituan-Dianping, overseeing the establishment of a large-scale distributed machine learning platform (MLX) that integrates online, near-line, and offline model solutions, achieving significant improvements in click-through rates across various applications.
