Ellen Mitchell is an experienced environmental and sustainability professional with a strong background in managing programs related to land, waterways, and ecosystems. Currently serving as the Manager of Service Programs in Land & Catchments at Melbourne Water since April 2017, Ellen has also held various leadership roles at Conservation Volunteers Australia and Moonee Valley City Council. Throughout the career, Ellen has developed volunteer engagement programs, led sustainability initiatives, and facilitated community grants, showcasing a commitment to enhancing environmental practices and compliance. Holding a Master's degree in Ecology from Deakin University, along with a Diploma of Leadership and Management, Ellen possesses a robust academic foundation complemented by significant practical experience in local government and community engagement.
