Simon Catzikiris

Simon Catzikiris is a seasoned water policy and environmental management professional with over 20 years of experience in state government and water authorities. They currently serve as Senior Program Manager – Healthy Waterways at Melbourne Water, leading initiatives to enhance waterway and environmental outcomes. Previously, Simon held senior roles at the Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning, where they coordinated water resource regulation across the Murray-Darling Basin, and at the EPA Victoria, managing large-scale water quality monitoring programs. With a strong focus on stakeholder engagement and strategic planning, Simon has contributed significantly to policy reforms in water resource management and environmental protection. They hold a Bachelor of Environmental Science from the University of Newcastle and a Diploma of Leadership and Management from Swinburne University of Technology.
