Melius works with General Counsel when the pressure of running a modern legal function has reached a point where something needs to change.
Rising business expectations, cost pressure, resource constraints, and a technology landscape — including AI — that is moving faster than most functions can keep pace with.

Most GCs have already tried to fix it. Restructured the team, leaned harder on outside counsel, explored technology. Sensible responses to real pressure. But when the underlying operating model needs to change, those interventions only go so far. What's missing is the space, the objectivity, and the specialist expertise to step back, diagnose properly, and build a credible path forward.

Our methodology follows four stages: diagnosis, prescription, treatment, and maintenance. We meet clients wherever they are on that journey — without asking them to repeat work they've already done.

The goal is a legal function that operates as a genuine strategic asset. Better processes, technology that works for the team, and a GC who has the time and headspace to lead rather than firefight. A business that sees legal as a partner, not a bottleneck.

We've led legal functions across sectors. We know these pressures from the inside — and we have no interest in making an engagement longer or more complex than it needs to be.

In-house Legal. Done Better.
