Michael O. has a diverse work experience in the automotive industry. Michael started their career at Litton Industries as a Reliability Engineer, analyzing product designs for reliability and safety. Michael then moved on to Hoof Products, where they initially worked as a Product Design Engineer, designing automotive oil pumps and timing components. Michael later became the Chief Engineer, responsible for project management of multiple product lines and troubleshooting manufacturing problems. Finally, they joined Melling Engine Parts, where they held various roles such as Product & Process Engineer, Product Engineering Manager, and VP Aftermarket Products. In these roles, they developed aftermarket product strategies, managed product development and technical service departments, and designed new OEM and aftermarket oil pumps. Overall, Michael O. has extensive experience in product design, project management, and technical customer support in the automotive industry.

Michael O. began their education in 1981, attending Loras College. Michael studied engineering at Loras College until 1983. In the same year, Michael O. transferred to Iowa State University, where they completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. Michael successfully graduated from Iowa State University in 1986.
