Aric Johnson

Aric Johnson has diverse work experience in various industries. Aric started their career as a Heavy Equipment Operator in the Army National Guard from June 2005 to June 2011, where they received training on soldier tasks and operated and maintained heavy equipment.

From June 2000 to April 2013, Aric worked in various kitchen positions in restaurants around the Gateway to Cape Cod. Aric gained extensive knowledge and skills in cooking a wide range of dishes and learned to cook efficiently and cost-effectively. Aric also took on leadership roles and trained new staff members.

In 2013, Aric worked as a Line Cook at Matt's Blackboard, where they prepared food according to recipes and trained staff in using the point of sale system. Aric also maintained the website content using Drupal.

Aric joined Thinkful in June 2015 and held two roles. As a Bootcamp Program Manager from March to November 2016, they ensured the success of students enrolled in the Career Path program by understanding their goals and charting their course to utilize the assets available. Aric also contributed to the development of new assets.

As a FEWD Mentor and Course Lead from June 2015 to June 2016, Aric mentored students new to HTML, CSS, and JavaScript and taught them good practices such as version control and maintaining clean code. Aric also updated the course curriculum and added content to improve student understanding.

In January 2015, Aric joined Thinkful's AngularJS Curriculum Re-write Team and contributed to updating the curriculum.

Since May 2018, Aric has been working at MembersFirst. Aric started as a Front End Developer and was responsible for bringing designs to life, building UI elements, and creating and updating member-facing applications. In January 2022, they transitioned to the role of Manager of Development.

Overall, Aric Johnson has a strong background in development, mentoring, and leadership, with a focus on web development and programming.

Aric Johnson started their education journey in 2001 at Wareham High School, where they pursued a diploma in general education. Aric successfully completed their studies in 2005. In 2014, Aric enrolled in Thinkful and obtained a certificate in front-end web development.
