Michael B. has a diverse range of work experience in the IT field. Michael started their career as a Solutions Engineer/NOCC engineer at NWN Corporation in 2010, where they worked until 2012. Michael then joined Checkerboard in 2012 as a Desktop Support Engineer before being promoted to Systems Administrator in 2013. During their time at Checkerboard, they gained expertise in various IT skills, including LAN/DMZ administration, cloud-based applications, AWS, scripting languages, backup configuration, data center maintenance, and Microsoft Exchange migration. In 2017, Michael B. joined MembersFirst as an IT Manager, responsible for maintaining the uptime of customer webservers and managing various technologies such as Windows Server, Centos/Ubuntu, AWS, VMware, and backup technologies.

Michael B. attended Lunenburg High School from 2000 to 2003. After high school, they enrolled in Quinsigamond Community College from 2003 to 2005, where they studied Business Administration and Management.

In addition to their formal education, Michael has obtained multiple certifications. In 2013, they achieved the Microsoft Certified Professional and Microsoft Technology Associate certifications. In 2016, they obtained the CompTIA A+ ce certification. Then, in 2017, they earned the VMware VCA6-DCV and AWS Certified Solutions Architect certifications. In 2019, they obtained the CompTIA Security+ ce Certification, CompTIA Linux+ ce Certification, and the CompTIA Systems Support Specialist – CSSS Stackable Certification. Finally, in 2022, they achieved the AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate certification and the Amazon Web Services Solutions Architect Associate certification.
