Mayara Morais

Mayara Morais is a Senior Data Engineer with experience in multiple companies. Mayara started their career in 2014 as an Academic Researcher at Instituto Tecnológico de Aeronáutica - ITA, where they worked on a credit card fraud detection project and utilized Python, Pandas, and SQL to analyze bank transaction data. From 2017 to 2020, they joined 2RP Net, first as a Data Engineering Coordinator, where they facilitated Scrum ceremonies, maintained the backlog, and converted business requirements into technical ones. Mayara then transitioned to the role of Data Engineer, developing data pipelines, transferring data between Oracle and Hadoop using Sqoop, and modeling tables based on business requirements. In 2020, Mayara joined PicPay as a Senior Data Engineer and continued their work on data engineering projects until 2023. Currently, they hold the position of Senior Data Engineer at Memed.

Mayara Morais completed their Master of Science in Electronic and Computer Engineering from Instituto Tecnológico de Aeronáutica - ITA from 2018 to 2021. Prior to that, they obtained a Technologist Degree in System Analysis and Development with a specialization in Information Technology from Universidade Cruzeiro do Sul from 2013 to 2014. In 2011 to 2012, Mayara Morais also pursued a Technical course in computing with a focus on Information Technology from ETEC - Escola Técnica Estadual de São Paulo. In addition to their formal education, they obtained a certification in Data Science I Fundamentals from Udacity in July 2017.
