Hello, we’re Memento, an independently owned florist and plant store rooted on the Ormeau Road in South Belfast. What started as a passion has grown into a local landmark, with nearly 10 years on the Road and over 20 years in the industry. To mark the milestone, we opened our brand new store on Haywood Avenue, a.k.a. our side street jungle, a creative space brimming with life, energy, and more indoor plants than your average rainforest.

Our home and lifestyle store is packed with Northern Ireland’s largest selection of unique indoor plants, botanical gifts, and design-led treats from brilliant independent makers. It’s all backed by award-winning retail, including being crowned Northern Ireland Retailer of the Year 2021/22 by the Belfast Telegraph in partnership with Retail NI

At the heart of it all is Gary, our Owner & Head of All Things Memento — always curious, slightly chaotic, and hellbent on keeping things moving.

Since taking the reins in 2016, Gary has led Memento with a vision that blends emotional design, bold ideas, and proper community connection, earning him the title of NI Floristry Managing Director of the Year from SME News in 2022.

We don’t just sell flowers. We craft floral experiences with joy, edge, and instinct. Our expert florists design with feeling, not formulas. And our in-house plant team? Total legends, full of solid advice and zero judgement, whether you’re keeping a cactus alive or building your own personal jungle.

Memento is more than a shop — it’s a hub, a hangout, and a home for creativity. We’re always evolving, always experimenting, and always looking for ways to do retail our way — with heart, humour, and super sexy flowers!
