Mark Cantwell

Mark Cantwell has worked in the pharmaceutical industry since 1998. Mark began their career at Tragen Pharmaceuticals as a Senior Scientist. In 2003, they moved to ADVENTRX Pharmaceuticals as Vice President of Research & Development. In 2009, they joined Memgen as Vice President of Research & Development. Finally, in 2014, they became Chief Scientific Officer at Memgen, Inc., where they have extensive research and industry experience in cancer immunotherapy drug discovery and development with a special focus on viral immunotherapies. Mark is skilled in R&D, manufacturing, regulatory and clinical program development and has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications, including Nature Medicine, Nature Communications, and J.

Mark Cantwell received their Bachelor of Science in Applied Biology from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 1992. Mark then went on to earn their PhD in Biomedical Sciences from UC San Diego in 1998.
