Jure Bajić

Software Engineer at Memgraph

Jure Bajić started their work experience in 2014 as a Backend Developer at Betaware d.o.o., where they worked for three months. In 2016, they joined UHP Digital d.o.o. as a Web Developer and worked there for one year. In 2017, they joined RT-RK as an Intern and worked on researching and developing a method for trajectory planning on autonomous vehicles. Jure also integrated an algorithm on the ADAS board and published a paper on the same subject. In 2018, they became a Software Engineer at RT-RK and worked on the BMW project, implementing various jobs using Python and Ansible. Jure also integrated Bazel as a build system.

In 2020, Jure joined Memgraph as a Software Engineer, where they worked on making a distributed database and a solution for shared storage. Jure actively reviewed pull requests and designed and implemented various features in the Memgraph database using C++. Jure worked on adding partial schema into the query and storage engine, replaced the native server implementation with Boost asio, and added support for WebSocket connection. Jure also set up an automated build and release process pipeline in Github Actions and implemented a monitoring service. In 2023, Jure joined Pagoda as a Software Engineer.

Jure Bajić obtained their Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering from Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek. Jure pursued higher education at the same university and completed their Master's degree in the same field from 2016 to 2018. In 2020 and 2021, Jure enrolled in Udacity and successfully earned a Nanodegree in Self-Driving Car Engineering. Additionally, they obtained the certification of Self-Driving Car Engineer Nanodegree from Udacity in June 2021.
