Cesare Rocchi has a diverse range of work experience. In 2002, they worked as a Researcher at ITC-Irst, focusing on EU and Trento's province funded projects regarding adaptive mobile multimedia guides and conflict resolution. From 2007 to 2009, they were a Researcher at Fondazione Bruno Kessler (previously ITC-Irst). In 2009, they became a Consultant at Comtaste. Later in 2009, Rocchi established their own company called Studio Magnolia, where they served as the Owner. In 2012, they joined BaasBox as a Senior iOS Engineer, where they developed and maintained open source iOS and JavaScript SDKs, wrote documentation and tutorials, and presented the SDK at conferences. At ASOS.com in 2015, Rocchi worked as a Senior iOS Engineer. From 2018 to 2018, they were a Senior iOS Engineer at Ably - simply better realtime, where they developed and maintained open source iOS, JavaScript, and Ruby SDKs, wrote documentation and tutorials, and provided customer support. Finally, in 2019, they started working as a Senior iOS Engineer at Memory. Overall, Rocchi has demonstrated expertise in various programming languages, concurrent programming, REST, WebSockets, authentication, and has a strong background in research and development.

Cesare Rocchi completed their education in two institutions. From 1996 to 2000, they attended Alma Mater Studiorum – Università di Bologna, where they earned their Laurea degree in Philosophy. Following this, from 2006 to 2009, they pursued their PhD in Informatics Engineering at Universita' Politecnica delle Marche.
