Sarah Flessa

Sarah Flessa has had a diverse work experience. Sarah began their career in 2013 as a Translational Research Intern at the Center of Injury Research and Policy of The Research Institute at Nationwide Children's Hospital. In 2015, they worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at both the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and The Women's and Children's Health Policy Center (WCHPC) at the Johns Hopkins School of Public Health. In 2016, they were a Research Assistant at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Currently, they are the Research Director at MemoryWell, where they are leading a Phase I Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) grant from the National Institute of Aging. This grant funds a partnership between MemoryWell, a digital life storytelling service, and the University of California San Francisco Acute Care for Elders unit to adapt a life storytelling service designed to promote person-centered care in long-term care to an acute-care setting.

Sarah Flessa completed a Bachelor of Science in Public Health (BSPH) from The Ohio State University in Environmental Public Health. Sarah then obtained a Master of Health Science in Epidemiology and a Certificate in Health Disparities and Health Inequality from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health between 2014 and 2016.
