Aleš Hrba has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and industries. Aleš began their career at FOXCONN CZ in 2011 as a Pomocný administrativní pracovník, where they were responsible for administrative tasks on the personnel department. Aleš also conducted translations from Czech to English and worked with MS Excel.
In 2014, Hrba worked as a Překladatel angličtiny at Liverpoolsky.net, where they continued translating English documents.
In 2015, they joined Academia Film Olomouc as a Překladatel na volné noze for a short period.
Following this, Hrba worked at TransPerfect as a Project Manager from July 2015 to September 2017.
From December 2017 to July 2020, Hrba worked as a Junior Support Specialist at Phrase, where they served as the first point of contact for customers, troubleshooting platform-related issues, and providing technical assistance. Aleš also communicated with customers in English.
Aleš then progressed to the role of Senior Support Specialist at Phrase, from July 2020 to January 2022. Here, they diagnosed and resolved complex configurations related to workflow automation, online repositories, and APIs. Aleš closely collaborated with product engineers and end users.
Finally, Hrba became the Technical Support Team Lead at Phrase in January 2022. In this role, they lead and mentors colleagues from the Technical Support Team, performs assessments, communicates and adheres to new procedures, policies, and goals, and resolves clients' complex configurations related to workflow automation, online repositories, and APIs.
Aleš Hrba completed their education at multiple institutions. Aleš obtained a Bachelor's degree in English for Business from the University of Pardubice, where they studied from 2009 to 2012. Aleš then pursued a Master's degree in English for Translation and Interpreting at Palacký University in Olomouc from 2012 to 2015. In 2013 to 2014, they also studied Americká studia (American Studies) at Universidad de La Laguna. Apart from their formal education, Aleš has also obtained additional certifications, including "Essential Lessons for First-Time Managers" and "Managing Teams" from LinkedIn, as well as the "CPE - Certificate of Proficiency in English" from Cambridge English Language Assessment.
