Aleš Tamchyna's work experience begins in 2009 as a Software Developer at Zonio. In 2011, they become a Research Assistant at Charles University in Prague, a position they hold until 2017. In 2012, they participate in a summer workshop at Johns Hopkins University. Aleš then completes a summer internship at Fondazione Bruno Kessler in 2013. In 2014, they work as a Research Intern at Microsoft. From 2015 to 2016, they work as a Researcher at LMU - Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München, collaborating on the HimL project. In 2017, they join LMU again as a Researcher. In 2017, they also begin working at the company Phrase, starting as a Software Engineer -- Machine Learning and later taking on roles as an Artificial Intelligence Lead and an AI Research and Development Manager. In 2023, they become a Principal AI Researcher at Phrase.

Aleš Tamchyna earned a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from Charles University in 2010. Aleš continued their education at Charles University and obtained a Master's Degree in Computer Science in 2012. From 2012 to 2017, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Computational Linguistics at Charles University.
