Javier Torres

Javier Torres has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of infrastructure and technology. Javier is currently the Head of Infrastructure at MEMX since April 2019. Prior to this, Javier held the position of Founder at LQTNYC starting from September 2017. From April 2015 to September 2017, they served as the Director of Infrastructure at Gemini. Their role at Virtu Financial as Head of Infrastructure and CSO from July 2012 to September 2014 involved developing high-performance trading infrastructure, managing various teams, and implementing cyber security policies. Before that, Javier worked as a Principal Technologist at NasdaqOMX for a year and as a Senior Infrastructure Engineer at Virtu Financial for three years. Javier also gained experience as a Senior Network Engineer at Nasdaq and Inet, and as a Member of Technical Staff at Flarion Technologies. Javier's career started as a SW Test Technician Tech Lead at Dialogic/Intel.

Javier Torres completed their education from 1998 to 2000 at DeVry University Keller, where they obtained an Associates degree in CIS (Computer Information Systems).
