Lead Information Security Engineer at Menards

Matt Higdon has a diverse work experience in the field of information security and engineering. Matt started their career at Beltz Technologies in 2007, where they worked as a Service Team Lead until 2009. Matt then transitioned to the role of Information Systems Administrator until 2012. Following their tenure at Beltz Technologies, Matt joined DCS Netlink in 2012 as a Lead Engineer for three years. In 2015, they joined Menards as an Information Security Analyst, and over time, they progressed to the role of Information Security Engineer. Currently, they hold the position of Lead Information Security Engineer at Menards as of April 2021.

Matt Higdon has a Bachelor of Science degree in Information and Communication Technologies from the University of Wisconsin-Stout. Matt also holds an Associate of Applied Science degree in Information Technology Networking Specialist from Chippewa Valley Technical College. Matt has obtained several certifications, including CISSP - Certified Information Systems Security Professional from (ISC)² in 2018, Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP) from ISC2 in 2015, and Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) from EC-Council in 2014. Matt is also pursuing additional certifications in Conducting Practical Risk Analysis from ISC2 and Enterprise Cybersecurity Leadership from the Professional Development Academy, both to be obtained in 2023.
