Warren Bates has an extensive and varied work experience. Warren began their career as an Analyst in the Investment Banking Division at Morgan Stanley from 2006 to 2008. Following that, they worked as a Senior Associate in Private Equity at Sentinel Capital Partners from 2008 to 2012.
In 2012, Bates held multiple positions. Warren was a Chief Business Officer at the International Space Station U.S. National Laboratory from March 2012 to February 2019. During the same period, they also co-founded and served as a partner at both Bates Mill Partners and Washington City Hospitality.
In 2015, Bates became a co-owner and partner at The Dabney, a role they still hold. Warren also co-founded and served as a partner at Petite Cerise from March 2023.
In terms of executive positions, Bates has held several roles. Warren was the Chief Executive Officer at Mend: for Mental & Behavioral Healthcare Providers since March 2023. Prior to that, they served as President/COO & CFO from January 2022 to February 2023, COO & CFO from April 2020 to December 2021, and CFO from June 2016 to March 2020.
Lastly, Bates served as the CFO of The Sonder Autism Center from March 2019 to May 2020 and again from June 2020, a role they continue to hold.
Warren Bates obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
