Bas de Bakker

Bas de Bakker is a highly experienced software engineer and tech lead with a robust background in developing and architecting database systems. Currently serving at Mendix since December 2018, Bas has held key roles including Senior Software Engineer. Prior to this, Bas worked at OpenText from January 2017 to November 2018 as a Senior Consultant Software Engineer, focusing on the architecting and development of OpenText xDB. Earlier experience includes significant contributions at EMC and X-Hive Corporation, where Bas developed features for native XML databases and worked on a cloud-based content management platform. Bas's career began at OCLC PICA and the Centraal Bureau voor de Statistiek, with a foundation in research at the University of Amsterdam, where Bas earned both a PhD and a Drs in Physics.
