Jon Karakowski

Jon Karakowski is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in technical consulting and application development. Since joining Mendix in May 2019, Jon has held positions ranging from Senior Consultant to Associate Technical Lead, focusing on enabling customers to create applications on the Mendix low-code platform. Prior to Mendix, Jon pursued a personal project during a sabbatical to build a house from the ground up and served as a Senior Application Consultant at Microsoft/Caradigm, where responsibilities included providing insights into patient populations through the Amalga product line. Earlier in the career, Jon worked as a Technical Account Manager at Rosetta Biosoftware, supporting bioinformatics software, and as a Project Manager/Implementation Specialist at Accela, contributing to innovative software solutions for government agencies. Jon holds a PhD in Physics from the University of Washington and a BS with Highest Distinction in Physics from the University of Michigan.
