Matthijs Holstein

Matthijs Holstein is an experienced HR professional currently serving as Head of HR for the Product & Technology unit at Mendix since February 2021, where Matthijs leads strategic HR initiatives for 550 employees and supervises HR Business Partners. Previously, Matthijs held various roles in HR, including Project Manager for People & Culture at Mendix, where Matthijs focused on diversity, equity, inclusion initiatives, and employee wellbeing projects. Matthijs also worked at SES Networks as a Human Capital Business Partner, implementing global onboarding and mental health apps, and served as HR Benefits Specialist at Cerner Corporation, providing expertise on employee benefits across multiple European countries. Matthijs began the HR career at O3b Networks, progressing from HR Coordinator to Payroll & Benefits Manager and HR Generalist, gaining comprehensive experience in employee engagement, recruitment, and compensation management. Matthijs holds an MSc in Human Resource Studies from Tilburg University and a BSc in International Hospitality Management from Stenden.
