Özge Karakaya

Özge Karakaya is a Senior Product Designer at Mendix since October 2024 and a Co-Founder & Fellow at InCommon, which focuses on transforming education for a sustainable future. Currently teaching User Experience (UX) Design at the Academy of Arts and Design London, Özge leads the UX design modules of the UI/UX Design Specialization Certificate Program. Prior experience includes roles as a Senior User Experience Designer at Commencis, where pivotal projects included the redesign of the Transavia mobile app and MobilDeniz, a banking app with over 10 million users. Additional contributions were made as an Academy Member at HundrED and a UX/UI Specialist at Re:Coded, amidst various academic positions. Özge holds multiple degrees, including a pre-master in New Media Design from Tilburg University and a Master of Arts in European Economic Integration and Business from the College of Europe.
