Founded in 2021, MWC - Menin Wine Company is a Portuguese company that produces Douro and Port wines under the brands "Menin Douro Estates" and "H.O Wines".

Menin Wine Company's mission is to curate a legacy and the best traditions of this land, to encourage experimentation, creativity and the use of technology to highlight what is extraordinary, all in order to present the best possible combination of all these ingredients.

In 2018, the project began when we identified enormous potential in the Quintas da Costa de Cima, Caleiro and do Sol. We found centuries-old vineyards with more than 60 grape varieties and areas in need of renovation, where we could plant the ideal complement. From this vision, Menin Douro Estates was born. We worked hard to build a completely new winery, all with the breathtaking scenery of the river always present.

In the course of 2021, the unique opportunity arose to acquire a brand with high recognition in the Douro and a vast heritage, Horta Osório Wines. More than three centuries of history and knowledge that we aspire to honor and perpetuate for the future.

In several brands, the same principles: innovate while respecting tradition. Ensuring the sustainability of our terroirs and the diversity of indigenous grape varieties. Contributing to the appreciation of Portuguese wine in the world, our communities and our people.

As well as wines, MWC also produces extra virgin olive oil from organically grown olives.
