Ed Owen

Ed Owen has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries. Ed began their career as a Researcher/Writer for Let's Go, Inc., a publisher of budget travel guidebooks. Ed then worked as an Assistant Editor and Production Manager for the same company. Next, Owen joined The Learning Company / Broderbund / Mattel, where they held various roles, including Assistant Producer, Producer, Executive Producer, and Development Director. At Team Sheeper MultiSport, a self-funded start-up, they served as Employee #4 and Director of Technology, managing all technical operations. Ed also worked as a Database Programmer/Consultant for Anacor Pharmaceuticals, providing database services and support. Owen then joined Sony Computer Entertainment, where they took on roles such as Consultant, Project Manager, Technical Information Design and Development Manager, and Department Manager. Ed later joined Wind River as a Manager of Information Development Infrastructure, Senior Manager of Information Development Infrastructure, and Director of Customer Experience Infrastructure. Most recently, they held positions at Salesforce as an Engineering Director and Menlo Security Inc. as a Technical Program Manager, before transitioning to the role of Principal Technical Program Manager.

Ed Owen holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Phi Beta Kappa in Hispanic Studies, with a Cum Laude General Studies designation, from Harvard University. Ed is currently pursuing a Certificate in Computer Software Engineering from the University of California, Santa Cruz Extension, expected to be completed in 2023. Additionally, they have obtained certifications in "Programming with Google Go Specialization" from Coursera in 2022 and "Software Engineering and Quality" from UCSC Silicon Valley Extension in 2021.
