Most people I work with have a business that sounds like someone else's. Not because they're bad at writing. Because the thing they'd actually say, if nobody was watching, isn't the thing that got put on the homepage. Every website they've built has started from what do people want me to be and ended up somewhere nobody can find them, including themselves. That's the problem mentokc is for.

The work starts with the website, the copy, the positioning, because that's where the mismatch shows up loudest. But the website is the gateway. The gateway opens onto everything else. Running a business as a solopreneur without slowly turning into a managed version of yourself. Letting AI and automation take the bits they should take, keeping the bits they shouldn't. Building a business shaped to the person running it, rather than the other way round.

The gateway is shifting too. Search isn't what it was. People ask ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude. Your website isn't just a place for humans to land, it's a source the machines quote from when somebody asks about your thing. Vague copy doesn't just confuse humans now. It confuses the systems that increasingly stand between you and the people looking for you. Most websites haven't caught up. Most branding people haven't either.

I don't do formulas. I don't do frameworks-as-gospel. I'm not especially normal and I'm not trying to be. I wear dinosaurs on my shirt to serious meetings and think most of what gets sold as branding is cosmetic.
