Ment'or (formerly known as The Bocuse d'Or USA Foundation), was established in 2008 by world renowned Chefs Jerome Bocuse, Daniel Boulud, and Thomas Keller.  The foundation is devoted to INSPIRING CULINARY EXCELLENCE in young professionals and helping to elevate the culinary arts in America,  

Our aim is to build a sustainable community of young American culinary professionals who are knowledgeable and confident in their career pursuits and will be life-long ambassadors of quality and excellence in the world of gastronomy. The organization is dedicated to making these culinary careers more meaningful and successful by offering educational scholarships, internships and access to a Culinary Council of established mentors.

The most promising young professionals will have the opportunity to compete and represent the United States in the prestigious Bocuse d’Or competition held in Lyon, France every two years.

The Foundation is also focused on an Annual Young Chef Competition series and a formalized Grant Program for Continuing Education in order to help inspire, educate and promote the future generation of culinary stars in the US.
