Jayal Shroff has extensive work experience in various roles and companies. In 1999, they joined DY Works (DMA Branding) as an Associate Creative Director, where they played a crucial role in growing a startup into a successful 100-member company. Jayal focused on packaging design and worked on projects for diverse industries such as personal care, food, retail, and technology. In 2008, they joined FinalMile as a Behaviour Architect, utilizing cognitive neuroscience and behavioral economics to design interventions that improve behavior in commercial and social contexts. Jayal successfully applied this practice across sectors and geographies. In 2013, Jayal founded their own company, The Capital D, where they served as the Founder until 2020. Currently, they are the Co-Founder and Chief Design Officer at Mentza.
Jayal Shroff holds a Master's degree in Design from LASALLE College of the Arts, which was completed between 2020 and 2021. Jayal also obtained a Master of Arts (MA) in English Literature from Shreemati Nathibai Damodar Thackersey (SNDT) Women's University, Mumbai, from 2000 to 2005. Prior to that, they pursued a GD Art degree in Applied Arts from Sophia Shree B.K. Somani Memorial Polytechnic during the period of 1994 to 1999. Jayal's earliest known education was at Jasudben ML School in India from 1980 to 1994, without a specified degree or field of study.
