David Contreras

David Contreras is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience in developing, migrating, and enhancing software applications across multiple roles at IBM from 1998 to 2022, and currently at Merative since 2022. At Merative, David transitioned to the consumer team, successfully migrating four legacy web applications to Azure App Service. During a lengthy tenure at IBM, responsibilities included overseeing NLP components for Watson Health, creating algorithms for processing unstructured medical text, and contributing to multiple projects using Agile methodologies. David also played pivotal roles in software integration, CRM implementations, and developing interoperability solutions for IBM WebSphere. David holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from Averett University.
