Approaching new merchants to switch them from their current processors has been a challenge for credit card processing companies because the savings where not enough to go through for the business to changing their work flow or banking. Most merchants offer a small introductory price point such as 0.59% processing rate. But, they don’t explain that it’s only on debit cards, nor do they explain rate creep, which is after six months their rate will creep up to the max until evaluated again.
