Ben Smyth began their career in 1995 at Crown Books, where they served as Operations Coordinator. Theirrole included managing receipt and distribution of store supply, special order and b2b bulk sales and collections, as well as providing customer service support and assisting the COO. In 1997, they joined Merchant Link as a Product Manager, where they managed the design, development and integration of gateway products for the restaurant and retail verticals, as well as the design, development and integration of data security offering (Tokenization and P2PE) for the gateway. Ben was also a Subject Matter Expert on tokenization and P2PE and their relation to PCI and PA DSS scope.
Ben Smyth attended Atholton High School from 1989 to 1990 and then went on to Washington College, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Psycology from 1990 to 1994.
