Merci Capital is a people-first, operationally-oriented private investment firm investing in Midwest and Texas-based lower middle market companies and commercial real estate. Unlike traditional investment firms, we are principal investors, deploying our own capital alongside trusted partners.

Our investment approach begins with a special emphasis on building relationships, through partnership and trust, for the long-term. We partner with and support founders, family owners, and managers in the transition of ownership while helping them realize their full potential. As long-term holders, we are not driven by traditional exit pressures — we seek to preserve legacy and culture, back great management teams, and support sustainable, strategic growth.  

We believe success is measured not only by financial returns, but by the positive impact we create in our communities. Our separate Donor-Advised Fund (DAF), the Mercilus Family Foundation, was established in 2016 to provide support and advocacy services for individuals with disabilities and special needs. As such, we dedicate a portion of our profits to the Foundation, backing organizations that support these causes.
