Dan Drellich

Vice President Human Resources at Merck Group

Dan Drellich has extensive work experience in the human resources field. Dan started their career at Raytheon in 2001, where they participated in the HR Leadership Development Program for two years. Dan then served as an HR Generalist before moving up to HR Business Partner/Compensation Lead and eventually becoming the Talent Acquisition Manager. In 2007, they became the HR Business Partner Lead before leaving Raytheon in 2008.

Drellich joined EMD Millipore in 2008, where they held various roles over the span of seven years. Dan started as a Senior Manager in HR Account Management and quickly advanced to become the HR Director for the Bioscience Business Unit. In this role, they led the human resources efforts for a Life Science Business, overseeing over 1,000 employees in Marketing, Sales, and R&D. Dan later served as the HR Director for International Sales and Countries, as well as HR Director for Lab Asia & EMEA. In 2014, they worked as the HR Integration Planning Lead for the Sigma Aldrich Acquisition until 2015 when they joined Merck Group.

At Merck Group, Drellich initially served as the Lead HRBP for the Performance Materials Business Sector. In 2020, they were promoted to the position of Vice President of Human Resources, a role they currently hold.

Dan Drellich completed their Bachelors degree in Industrial & Labor Relations from Cornell University, from 1996 to 2000. Dan further pursued their education at Cornell University, where they obtained a Masters degree in Industrial & Labor Relations from 2001 to 2002.
