Daniel Hookins

Daniel Hookins has over 17 years of experience in supply chain and distribution management within the pharmaceutical industry. Currently serving as the Head of Inventory Excellence at Merck Group since April 2016, Daniel has spearheaded initiatives to reduce inventory write-offs significantly and established proactive obsolescence avoidance strategies. Previously, Daniel held various roles at Sigma-Aldrich, including Project Manager for a divestment transition and Manager of Sales and Operations Planning for the Asia-Pacific region, where Daniel focused on optimizing supply chain processes. Early career experiences include positions as a Senior Process Development Chemist at BioFocus and Research Chemist at Tripos Discovery Research. Daniel holds a PhD in Organic Chemistry from the University of York and an MChem in Chemistry for Drug Discovery from the University of Bath.
