Arnab Basu

Arnab Basu is an experienced professional in the field of vaccine and infectious diseases, currently serving as a Director in Global Regulatory Affairs & Clinical Safety at Merck since March 2022. Prior to this role, Arnab held various positions, including Associate Director at Amicus Therapeutics and Director at MicroRx. Additionally, Arnab served as Associate Research Fellow at Southern Research Institute and was a Senior Research Scientist/Principal Investigator at Microbiotix Inc for over a decade. Early career experience includes being a Postdoctoral Fellow at Saint Louis University and a Research Fellow at the National Institute of Cholera and Enteric Diseases in India, as well as a Research Fellow at the International Medical Center of Japan. Arnab earned a PhD in Biochemistry/Microbiology from the University of Calcutta, completing the degree between 1995 and 2000.
