Bela Patel

Bela Patel is currently the Head of Pharmacometrics, Neuroscience, and Advanced Data Sciences at Merck, a position held since 2021. Bela previously served as Executive Director, Head of Pharmacometrics, Quantitative Pharmacology, and Pharmacometrics at Merck from 2017 to 2022 and worked as a Clinical Pharmacokineticist at Eli Lilly and Company from 1994 to 1996. Bela's extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry also includes roles at GSK, where they advanced through multiple leadership positions, including Assistant Director and Senior Director. Bela earned a Master of Science in Pharmacokinetics from The University of Georgia between 1986 and 1989.
