Candace Middlebrooks is currently a Principal Scientist in Bioinformatics at Merck. Previously, they held various significant roles, including Associate Director of Computational Biology at Prometheus Biosciences, Inc. and Staff Scientist at the National Human Genome Research Institute. Candace completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the National Cancer Institute, where they developed an analysis pipeline that contributed to a study on urinary bladder cancer. They earned a Ph.D. in Genetic Epidemiology from Emory University and have a Master’s degree from the University at Buffalo.
