Chris Seong is a Senior Scientist in Discovery Chemistry at Merck, with a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Minnesota. Originally from South Korea and raised in New Zealand, Chris has extensive experience in organic chemistry research, including the establishment of innovative methodologies for bond formation and the development of new chemical systems. Prior to their role at Merck, Chris served as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Minnesota, leading projects that resulted in several notable publications, and was recognized as a Snyder Scholar at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Chris also holds a Bachelor of Arts with Distinction in Chemistry from St. Olaf College.
