Connor Leach

Process Development Engineer

Connor Leach is a Process Development Engineer at Merck since July 2020, focusing on the design, startup, and operation of the FLEx Center's clinical trial supply manufacturing pilot plant with an emphasis on sterile filling operations. Previous roles at Merck include Technical Operations Engineer and Associate Specialist Engineer in both Manufacturing and Technical Operations, where Connor supported GMP manufacturing of APIs for antibiotics. Prior experience includes serving as a Field Engineer II and I at Schlumberger, providing onsite services for drilling fluids and cross-training as a solids control technician. Connor began professional endeavors as a student researcher at the University of Pennsylvania under Drs. Dodson, Sallan, and Jasinski while also interning as a Field Engineer with Schlumberger. Connor holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering with a focus on Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering and Earth Science from the University of Pennsylvania, earned in 2018.
