Daniel Passos

Daniel Passos currently serves as a QC Manager at Merck since August 2025. Prior to this role, Daniel held various positions at BIOVECTRA from April 2019 to August 2025, including Senior Scientist in Analytical Chemistry and Research Scientist. Daniel also worked as a Consultant at Taproot Medical Technologies LLC from October 2018 to April 2019 and was a Senior Fellow at the University of Washington from March 2015 to December 2018. Daniel's academic journey includes a Postdoctoral Fellowship at UFRJ in early 2015, a PhD in Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology from the International Centre for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology, and a Master of Science in Biochemistry from Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro. Daniel completed a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology and Immunology at the same university.
