Derrick Smith

Derrick Smith is the Director of 3D Technologies at Merck & Co., Inc., where they have previously held roles including Senior Specialist and Associate Director. Their experience spans from sales management at Ardmore Hardwood Floors to significant contributions in research and development at Synthes and SABIC Innovative Plastics. Smith earned a PhD in Materials Sciences from Drexel University, where they also completed an MS and BS in Materials Engineering. They are recognized for building a preclinical 3D printing drug product lab at Merck and for leading innovative research projects within the organization.
