Ellen Kaplan

Ellen Kaplan, Ph.D., is a Senior Scientist currently at Merck, focusing on microbiology and immunology. With a strong background in biomedical research, they have overseen a multidisciplinary lab and contributed to significant advancements in drug discovery, including the identification of antimicrobial therapeutics. Ellen's work has led to seven peer-reviewed scientific publications, and they have successfully secured over $1.2 million in grant funding. Previously, they held post-doctoral fellowships at Mount Sinai Medical Center, where they managed lab operations and developed new methodologies to enhance lab efficiency. Ellen obtained their Ph.D. from Weill Cornell Graduate School of Medical Sciences and holds a BS in Biology and Chemical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
