Eric Martin

Eric Martin is an experienced procurement leader with a strong background in managing direct materials and global supply chains. Currently serving as Procurement Director at Merck since August 2017, Eric oversees teams responsible for raw materials, single-use equipment, and sterile packaging, focusing on global strategy, supplier management, and cost savings for manufacturing operations. Prior to this role, Eric held the position of Senior Director of Procurement at AstraZeneca from January 2004 to August 2017, where leadership extended over a diverse team focused on R&D procurement across various phases. Earlier in Eric's career, from January 1996 to January 2004, Eric served as Director of Global Supply Chain at ICI Americas/Asahi Glass, managing supply chain processes and engineering within fluoropolymer manufacturing. Eric holds a Master of Science in Biochemistry from the University of Delaware.
