Eric Smith is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in project management and engineering leadership within the pharmaceutical and gases industries. Starting as a field engineer at BOC Gases Americas from 1995 to 1998, Eric gained hands-on expertise in operations and customer relations. At Merck, Eric advanced through various roles including Project Engineer, Regional Engineering Director, Project Manager, Executive Director, and Portfolio Engineering Director, managing a $150MM project portfolio and leading a $2,300M program encompassing diverse projects across multiple sites in the Southeast US, Midwest US, and Latin America. Eric holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Cornell University and a Master of Science in Engineering from Rutgers University.
